It's really easy to look back retrospectively at WW reactions, and the parallels they draw to what's happening with the Pokemon franchise right now, and how ridiculous it is. But also, we don't know for sure what's going to happen with Pokemon from this point onwards, it's easy to assume and guess that the introduction of Let's Go won't affect the style of other mainline games coming in the future, but we don't know for sure, and I think that's what most people are worried about; Gamefreak abandoning what we've followed for years now in favor of pandering to a more casual, unattentive part of the fanbase.
Which seems pretty unlikely, but ya never know. People are just worried about the future of Pokemon.
