A couple years ago, there was a mobile game called "Magikarp Jump" (if I remember correctly), and in it, there were Magikarp with quite the variety of colors and patterns, from that day, I always wanted all Pokémon (bar unique ones like Legendaries) to also have such variety. Take Pikachu for example, its shiny should be just a normal color variant, there should be Pikachus of various shades of yellow, and with different patterns for those back stripes it has, as for the rarity hunters, have 1 or 2 rare variants like a blue one or one with inverted colors (like a red Pikachu with yellow cheeks), tho I know such thing will never happen... at least we got size variations.
Oh yeah, for OCs having shinies, my opinion is the same as for Legendaries.
