>>38028790Well I lied, I ended up getting 2 more levels on Nash to bump him up to 14 to pick up the Hyper Fang. I was worried Brocks Onix would be level 16 and as you can see nothing on my team had a single super effective attack to hit him with. Also I completely forgot his Onixes moveset, I convinced myself it had fucking Rock Tomb/Throw and Wrap, turns out it just had Tackle and Bide. It got like 4 crits in a row on me but I managed to get in 6 tail whips while it was Biding before killing it with 3 hyper fangs afterwards. Didn't need to use any items during the fight or anything.
Fast forward a bit later, I'm mowing through the route leading to Mt Moon and then Mt Moon itself, but I had a bit of a scare by that Team Rocket member who had a fucking Raticate. Half of my team was on half health and I knew this thing was sufficiently high enough level to carry Hyper Fang which was scary as fuck. I had my half health Rattata in which probably could have outsped it but I was confident my Hyper Fang wouldn't kill so I just couldn't fucking risk it. Anyway I switched out to Flicker and got the kill smoothly, it did attempt a Hyper Fang but it missed twice.
Finally, I did some light training before encountering Blue near Nugget Bridge. I'm not gonna lie, I couldn't remember what level his Pokemon were, I figured around level 20 but since I'm getting tired I just made do with most of my team being level 18 because I had that much confidence in my newly evolved Nash (I highly value Raticates early on in Nuzlockes, they're very reliable and surprisingly strong). I was still expecting that I'd need to switch out mid way through the fight but no, Nash just Hyper Fanged to victory. The only thing that survived was the Pidgeotto but a swift Quick Attack afterwards put and end to that.
I'm feeling pretty confident now, I'm going to hold off on evolving Proxxie until after I beat Misty in case I need her during the fight. If I evolve her now I'd be adding a water weakness.
