Yes, that kid over there. huh, Pikachu? Its cute isn't it? Its the most popular among men and women. Not only because of its cute name and appearance but also its secret technique "Flash" which is useful in caves. I used to have one with me but not so much recently.

Nice one. Its a very popular pokemon. I think the reason is that it can learn lots of moves like Blizzard, Body Slam, Thunderbolt and BubbleBeam.

(I wont properly translate the pun as I'm not a translator, the pun here is that Magikarp's name is "Koiking" and "Come Here" is "Koi")
Don't be shy. Certainly, Magikarp is weak and doesnt give much experience, which makes it weak. But when they evolve they become Gyarados. And at level 25 they learn Dragon Rage so its pretty much invincible. You're not the only one that figured out Magikarp's charm(laughs).
Ok, that's ok for now. Seems everyone has their own favorite. Its good to focus on battling but its also ok to pick a favorite based on its appearance or the sounds it makes. You can pick the pokemon you like and make a team that fits your style which is another way to have fun in this world.
You can have a "flying team" of Pidgeot, Dodrio and Fearow; or how about a "Fancy Team" of Pikachu, Clefairy and Jigglypuff. Recently, I've been working on a "strongest villain" team with Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and Gyarados.
