I would've thought if isolation makes you feel melancholy you'd want to be around others more, but I understand that being with others can be both overwhelming and exhausting. Introversion can be a curse, can't it?
It is funny that you'd make a statement against materialism and then talk about adorning your own cave in precious gems and stones, but I think I get it.
It's your own personal refuge from the world, a place you go for respite from life to reflect on others in comfort. It's a personal home decorated in beauty that only you could truly appreciate.
