>Turtwig
Due to the abundance of box turtles in the forest around me. It's a kind of rite of passage for kids in this area to catch one at some point growing up.
>Deerling
Would be abundant in this area as deer are a very common sight. All of the more rural areas and nature parks nearby are full of them.
>Hoothoot
Although not the most common bird in the area owls are definitely symbolic of the area. I could definitely see myself searching for one over a more basic bird mon.
>Gastly
There is a Civil War Battlefield very close to me with an extensive amount of ghost stories and lore surrounding it. Gastly's shape is perfect for the cannonballs used during the conflict. Cannons are a major motif for this area and I could see Gastly hiding out in them.
>Ledyba
Although multiple bug type Pokémon would be abundant in the area Ledyba would stick out, especially this time of year. In the winter they are found in homes and cars trying to escape the cold. They are a sign of good luck and their striking appearance is used aesthetically often. Ledyba would be a very easy catch.
>Pachirisu
Squirrels are everywhere here constantly skittering across yards and up trees. A common sight is to see them using powerlines to cross roads or get to hard to reach branches.
