Best answer I can give you aside from the mask fetish stuff is that the visual is contradictory. Inorganic shape trying to fit with an organic shape/body or is trying to imitate something organic or an inanimate object is melding with a living being. Kinda like the Symbiote in Marvel lore or so. Point is it's a worn object that seemingly molds itself around the wearer. If it were anything other that a mask/helmet-like object, I know for a fact I wouldn't go for it. Funny thing? I could probably try to make a mock-up of it later in the year. Probably won't be like it was in the NSMB2 game but the principle still applies.
