Probably the most reliable Pokemon I've ever used, and unlike other Grass starters, it has a great movepool early on and the lack of STAB can be sorted out by Low Sweep. I wasn't even overlevelled by the end and I was using this guy to just trash Houndooms and stuff. He wasn't great against some of the gyms, but I could send him out in a normal battle and know that he's got it in control. I knew he'd be a bro, but still.
Also Gallade, thanks to being awesome looking then murdering everything in Platinum, and Clawitzer for that movepool.
Honestly, I have so many bros from each gen. Whether it's Chesnaught's reliability, Gallade's brutal power, Clawitzer's ridiculous movepool, Eelektross's not dying to one hit thing and ridiculous movepool (especially in BW2), or the Shiny Audino that saved my White Nuzlocke.
Shame my Zubat just died in my Platinum Nuzlocke. Wild Shellos Water Pulses are POWERFUL. I'm not very good at this...
