The next day, I traded the shiny Staryu over to my friend. I was also surprised it was quad perfect considering the parent Staryu was 4IV and the Ditto was 2IV.
Kind of related, I MMed a shiny Spinarak once and showed it to that same friend. She really liked the color, so I said, "I'll MM one for you too. It won't take long." Eleven eggs later and another shiny Spinarak hatched.
