Do you ever just feel a pull to do something, and you aren't sure why? A voice in your head, an intangible hand guiding you somewhere you didn't think to visit to do something it never crossed your mind to do. And then, once the encounter has played out, you realize that you were a pawn in a greater plan, and you've played your part and can now see the result in its entirety.
That's kind of how I felt about visiting Serebii today, because I had no intention of checking up on Pokemon news, nor did I plan on doing any sort of write-up this evening. But my muscle memory took over as soon as I sat before the computer, and I found myself face-to-face with some of the most genuinely horrendous Pokemon designs I've ever seen. I know I've said similar things before, but it really seems like Nintendo/Game Freak/my nightmares are dead set on one-downing themselves.
I recognize the fact that not all of you will agree with me or care to read this. I'm not going to try and change your opinions, but seeing as how this is my corner of the internet, I can present my thoughts freely and thoroughly. If you aren't interested, I won't fault you for skipping this post. If, however, you are interested in spending the next ten minutes reading my systematic destruction of the latest batch of Pokemon designs: please, stay tuned.
