But whatever, I'll give my thoughts on this debate.
I am an optimistic fag, and start every pokemon game like "I've paid this game, let's have some fun with it!"
I am optimistic enough to think the litteral garbagemon is not that bad (I hate the monkeys anyway).
But fuck no, it took me like 20 minutes to choose my starter because all final evo looked bad. I don't remember my team in my first run (I usually bond with my first team for each game), I only know I boxed my starter (and I hesitated a lot, because of autism, I think starter is specialbro and some shit like that, I usually never box it even if it is not my fav of the set), and it was a fucking pain to get through this game because there was a huge majority of bad designs just looked the mon was drawn by a 2yo autistic child with no arms, and the other designs were spoiled by these shitty graphics.
I mean, come on, gen3 looked better and it was on the fucking GBA!
Now, I like some of gen5 mons (more or less 50%), and some of them are among my favorites, but it is only because 3D models in gen6 saved their fucking asses. And I have as much favs in gen6 and in gen5
The only thing I'll give to gen5 dex, is Bug types, they were amazing.
Gen 6 was okay, designs were okay, the only thing that made me really love this gen is the graphics. Even if it was chibishit, it was way better than gen5.
Without that, it was just okay.
Design-wise, gen7 is one of the best gen we had in a long long time

And if you really want to talk about Persian, say hi to pic related. YES it is a shitmon, and even if you hate it, it is a gen5, and it counts as much as Persian (even more because Persian is a gen1 mon)
