link battles still technically exist but these little kids don't meet up in real life, they're pathetically addicted to online-only "interactions" and suffer from schizoid behaviors, so could never talk face to face with an actual human, so they don't understand why you would be allowed to use your blissey that got wish from a gamecube-era move tutor, for example.
that's why only little autistic kids shill for bad formats like Battle Spot and VGC. and they're a minority so VGC attendance is always poor compared to the OU ladder.
