I don't think it really needs a secondary type because it's hard to improve on perfection, BUT if you were to give it a typing that gives it a neutrality to Fire, it would go a long way towards not handicapping itself when it uses Sunny Day.
Something like Grass/Rock to represent that superpowered peach pit, or maybe Grass/Water to represent Georgia being the 7th rainiest State in the Union (Cherrim being forced to adapt to the extreme heat and extreme rainfall at the same time).
