>>39429318Watched the anime as a kid, first game was Pokemon Gold when it JUST came out. Got about 3~4 badges in, loved it, bought RBY and Silver and then later Crystal. Got my mind fucking blown when Red was the final battle; young me was telling my mom "That's me!! I'm fighting me from before!!"
Still nostalgia'd out on Gen 2 and would rather play Crystal than HGSS. I usually pick Cyndaquil though because Feraligatr (and a bunch of other Water types in gen 2) can't learn Waterfall for some dumbass reason.
