Relying on the playerbase to fill in all the holes left by the game's own teachings is a lazy and unresponsible way of handling it, and it only works because Pokemon as a franchise is simply that big. Despite each Pokemon being rated for each stat, only the CP is visible, which nowadays doesn't mean much. And that's just one thing among various other features they've taken from the main games but refashioned into their own thing.
So yeah, it's playable thanks to the users, but never tell me that the game explains enough when 98% of the knowledge I use on a regular basis were required from other players, online resources, and earlier knowledge of Pokemon.
