>>52770530I really like the Sevii Islands, and I don't get the hate. They're not super deep, but they're cute and fun to explore. Plus, when you're a kid, your imagination takes those little places pretty far. I remember talking with friends about why there were Unown in Tanoby Ruins, or how cool it'd be to visit Resort Gorgeous.
Altering Cave is broken like in Emerald, sadly, and it has more potential than was capitalized, but I still like it.
FRLG are some of my favorite Pokemon games. I admit it's mainly for nostalgia, but I also love the art style and the cozy music. Gen4 is also pretty soulful, but I'm not a fan of the weird 3D buildings or some of the battle effects (razor leaf, hyper beam, and potions all feel way less impactful). Gen3 is also when the official art peaked for me (pic related). Still had those rough edges, but with a smoother look without being completely cutsified or turned into JRPG-esque messes.
>"But what about X or Y battle mechanic"Pokemon's just a cozy relaxing game for me to unwind to. I just want to build a team of my favorite mons and have a fun adventure. FRLG allow that perfectly.
