when I came to the US at that time the theater crowds for Pokemon 2000 were massive, you had to go to the layaway to buy the cards from Wal-Mart because it was the most popular thing to be stolen
shit was crazy. Though I'm sure Minecraft has had a similar time with the kids in the last few years. But Pokemon is still the fucking best. Being among numerous fellow Pokemon GO players in the town square and at the Sun/Moon pre-release gave me more glimpses at that glorious time.
