Ruby and FireRed at the same time all the way back in 2010.
It was going well until I reached THAT May fight and lost all but my starter to Combusken. Then after only having one capture available to me at that point, I gave up on the run because I didn't think there was any way I was beating Mauville gym with a Grovyle and a Roselia as my only party members. Which is fair because I couldn't even get past the gym trainers without losing my starter.
The FireRed run was going a lot better, only a couple of non-major deaths and I had made it to Lavender town. And then my computer decided to fucking die on me, so that run got cut short.
Both of these runs and how they ended have a very important effect on the story of
The Shitty MSPaint Nuzlocke comicThankfully I kept the dead computer and just a few years back when another computer died on me, I got something that could hook up to harddrives and I got a backup of everything. So I've been considering picking that FireRed run back up just for fun once I finish my comic.
Or maybe I could somehow incorporate it into my autistic lore.
