I once shared your hesitation, OP. The idea of a quadrupedal dragon was kind off-setting for me, but I started to like it more as I used it throughout the games. I feel like his body is complicated enough to justify his simplified wings. Plus he's a badass. And I like his ability to be a mixed attacker.
Plus, when it comes to the standard idea of a dragon, his only other rival in terms of aesthetic appeal is Charizard, who isn't even Dragon-type.
>Dragonite looks childish and silly
>Lati@s just look like abstract bird-things
>Rayquaza is epic, but he's definitely more serpentine than the standard European dragon
>Garchomp is over-designed and a ridiculous mash-up of concepts
>Druggidon is literally 3edgy5me, can't appreciate its horrid design/color scheme at all
>Haxorus doesn't really look like a dragon, more like a dinosaur
>Hydreigon just looks awkward, its smaller heads look derp
Salamence is a bro for sure; 10/10 poke, would train in real life.
