The curse is eventually lifted, only Gardevoir has no memory that Gengar was her trainer and the plot with Gengar introducing himself to his Gardevoir.
And goddamn does mystery dungeon put some context onto pics like this. Just two amorphous pokemon, one that used to be human, sitting under a tree doing nothing sexual at all.
