Even XY Hex Maniac gets a decent amount of fanservice in XY with the spooky sidequests and her special pairing the Fairy Tale Girl Trainer class (and I'm pretty sure there's one route near the haunted house with nothing but Hex Maniac trainers lol). Remember before SunMoon dropped everyone was losing their mind over Wicke, but when the game dropped and people saw that she was basically irrelevant, and all the hype and Wicke fanart stopped. The Pokemon Professors in comparison are literally only relevant for the first few minutes of any Pokemon game, which is why artists basically pretend they don't exist (Professor Ivy is the exception because she is sexy af)
