When corals die they ALL bleach aka turn white.
Coral bleaching is just another term for coral death.
It happens whenever corals are stressed or dying.
It can be lowered pH, a parrotfish nibbling on it, or bad water quality.
"Bleaching" corals as a term is not anything specific. It IS something that is happening in mass due to acidification, but bleaching is not tied to just this phenomena.
This is like saying a human skeleton is political.
