Game Freak is completely incompetent and doesn't understand Switch hardware. They barely understood 3DS hardware, for that matter. Do you really think they'd even be capable of putting together a patch for this? I doubt they even know what a patch is in the first place.
Furthermore, you're assuming Nintendo or Game Freak would acknowledge a problem to begin with. Keep in mind that joycon drift has been a persistent, major issue and Nintendo has still refused to acknowledge it or apologize for it. They even went ahead and put the same shit joycons in the Switch Lite knowing full well they're defective.
