Fairy type does not exist. Ghost type was created specifically for Pokemon that are incorporeal(Gastly, Haunter, Gengar) hence the complete immunity to Normal and Fighting types and should therefore be reserved to the 3 of them.
Psychic does a good job at representing its paranormal powers, other yokai pokémon with such powers like Jynx and Exeggutor share this type as well.
