I am not really much of a fan how dragonite is usually depicted. There isn't anything wrong with its aesthetics and design per say, but it just doesn't jive with the elegant serpent motif the line had going for it. Feels like it came from an entirely differently line and was plopped down just because, though from what I have read the case for how it was handle in concept was different in Japanese and Chinese lore.
Regardless, I think I prefer something along more these lines than the one we got in the official release. Still an elegant serpent while retaining some of the gained dexterity seen in the official third evo.
