Finally updated my template fully as I prep for the fighting gym. Gonna explain my thinking with this team one by one.
>Dayne
Moves aren't great right now, but leveling up will make it better and I am starting to collect shards for a Thunderpunch.
>Garlan
Total MVP right now, sweeping trainers on the reg, only issue is dealing with type weaknesses, which you could say about anyone
>Spearwife
Been an amazing tank and it is always fun to watch an opponent try to break through confusion and paralysis at the same. However, her most important contribution is probably going to be her Pickup ability. It is my understanding that there is only 1 Shiny Stone prior to the Elite 4 and I need 2. However, I looked it up and once my Pachurisu reaches the 40s, it has a chance of picking up a Shiny Stone. Also, Super Fang is coming at lvl 33, one of the most underrated moves in Pokemon if you ask me.
>Syrax
Already kicking lots of ass and Dragon Claw is coming at lvl 33. Probably going to also teach her Shadow Claw. Another sweeper in the making
>Silverwind
Carrying her around for friendship sake right now but 2 things are stopping me from developing her.
1. I don't know if I will get another shiny stone and I want to prioritze Garaln getting one.
2. Because I have HGSS to play after this one I am trying to conserve my pool of kanto/johto pokemon, which has already become quite depleted and is why I don't have the quagsire or Psyduck in my team right now.
>Yronwood
Having this one might look a little strange when I already have Garchomp and it also makes my team even weaker to Water/Ice types. However, I got a few heart scales in the underground and the potential movepool is, I think, good enough to justify the risk. Access to all 3 Fang moves, Earthquake, and Crunch. Plus the sand stream ability has good synergy with Syrax's Sand Veil. I just need to keep Spearwife alive so I don't get swept by a Lapras.
