Gamefreak is a mix of people who are both out of touch with their fanbase, or in touch enough that they know just how to lie so people will buy their games. They threw in shit like Red/Blue/Leaf because they know there's an audience out there who will buy it just for them, but they don't want to go all the way and put in the effort for a proper postgame--or proper anything really.
Trusting them after USUM is nothing but foolish.
