back when xy came out i did my first nuzlocke blind through it because i knew people said the game was easy. i caught an azurill on route 3 that i named AZ (after the rapper because i couldn't think of anything else, i was entirely unaware of the game character). i ploughed through most of the game fairly easily, but something went wrong around the last couple of gyms and i started dropping mons left and right. by the time i got to the victory road i only had AZ left and I had messed something up with some pokécenter clause so he didn't have any moves through half of it. i was entirely sure i was about to lose but somehow AZ survived, and with his moves back we steamrolled the league and he survived.
