Gamefreak is tired of making pokemon and they tried "really hard" to make a different RPG game that they hoped would at least bait casual pokemon fans into consuming something else, but instead they just made a bad forgettable game lol.
But ever since they did Little Town Hero and decided to gimp SwSh for it, they stuck with splitting the team so they can make two mid games for a yearly pokemon release instead of spending more time on making any ACTUALLY GOOD pokemon games.
