They're far rarer than foxes because of a lack of associated everyday god, the very specific location where wolves were praised for keeping boar and deer from crops, and because perceptions of wolves changed over the years and led to them being hunted to extinction. Still the image of mountain wolves persists in culture and the remaining sculptures are part of tourist hiking trails.
