I like to imagine the other friends know about her disabilities (Penny comments on it, and I'm pretty sure Arven does as well), but they don't really care. When she finally tells Florian about her disability, he tells her that it doesn't matter, and that he loves her regardless. Nemona then takes off her brace, and Florian gives her bad hand a gentle kiss. They both gently hold hands with their fingers interlaced, Nemona being overjoyed that her rival loves her for who she truly is.
(Also, regarding her illness, I don't really headcanon her to have asthma or anything like that, although I can definitely see why other people would interpret the line about her house being spotless that way. On another note, the fact that her house has a Chansey on standby, and the fact that her ace Pokémon is basically a walking defibrillator really makes you think)
