Marshadow was the most underexplained legendary of all movies. Unsurprisingly, as it was actually supposed to be Ho-oh's movie. I was just waiting for it to reappear and revive Ash but it ends up just doing nothing. Also the movie would be no different without the companions, since even the significance of where to go can be found with the feather's glow. Misty was more useful in the first episode, even if it was just because of her bike helping Ash get to a pokemon center faster. Here Makoto (I forget her English name cause she's so forgettable) contributes nothing except a Lapras, which could have easily be given to Ash by the writers. I really hated how they gave him Butterfree and Charizard but nothing else. This is supposed to be a retelling. Why the fuck would you limit him to the two most signature pokemon of his anime counterpart yet do nothing else? And I've noticed I've been typing "nothing" a lot, which actually perfectly describes this whole movie. One and a half hours of nothing. I really hate this movie.
