By now there are even multiple anime Mays (original series May compared to Evolutions May for example) and I also consider them different characters who just look similar on the outside.
So no, I don't expect every May version to have fangs besides Sapphire, it wouldn't make sense anyway. Sapphire does look weird but I think it's part of her charm. She probably doesn't even realize she looks different since she's dumb.
I don't know which May version is better, it's just that lore autist types like me gravitate towards PokeSpe for its fanfiction autism. Tarzan May sounds like a shitpost idea but then it's a pleasant surprise to read about how Sapphire's an actual character written to have serious goals and feelings.
