Well, I finally bested my nemesis. The Totem Araquanid is defeated. I was kinda pissed that its first attack of the fight was a critical hit, but the fight went about as well as I could have hoped. I poisoned it, then just stalled with switches and protect. Trying to fight it head on would likely have resulted in several dead. In fact I'm fairly sure the only reason Ekans even died is because of some high rolls on the damage variance.
I had put all my energy into preparing for that fight, I'm quite unaware of the dangers to come by comparison.
Also I found a shiny Fomantis while grinding. Neat.
