This run has been a blast so far, a bit weird revisiting gen 1 and its oddities after so long, but I'm digging it. Just finished Silph and about to go into Sabrina's gym. I also absolutely wiped the floor with my Rival, which was immensely satisfying after he caught me off-guard with this last time we fought:
https://a.doko.moe/isccjf.jpegHaven't had that many problems so far, but the level spike after Erika is brutal. I almost lost a few Pokémon to some trainers in Koga's gym - wasn't expecting half of them to use Psychic types.
Tremors has been the unchallenged MVP so far but given Dugtrio's low HP and defenses I'm scared of using him most of the time, specially with battles in set mode. I also couldn't bother to wait til level 50 with Iggy so he could learn Flamethrower, and since I could use Arcanine's godly stats I evolved him as soon as I caught him. Bit funky relying on Bite to attack with an Arcanine, but it does the job nicely.
Unless I get critted into oblivion, which honestly can happen quite easily, I think this team can carry me thru the rest of the game. Maybe I'll have to sub someone for Nakama (Magneton) eventually, but so far so good.
