Yes, I too have noticed that /vp/ has a lot more homosexuals than a lot of other boards, at least more than other boards that aren't specifically catered for homosexuals (/lgbt/, /soc/, /cm/, /hm/, /fit/, etc).
My guess it that this is related to the fact that there were a number of gay people who were relatively outcast as a kid, just enough to make them turn to Pokemon. It may also be related to the fact that Jesus followers hate both fags and pokemon.
