Gardevoir is my favorite, and nothing has ruined it for me, but when people ask my favorite I just say mimikyu because no one will buy that I don't want to fuck it. Mimikyu is at least top 3.
Same is happening to lopunny, I used it in a team and it was MVP of that team so I've grown to like it a lot, and I feel ashamed that some of my favorites are these Pokémon out of all of them.

Gardevoir are creatures inherently drawn to humans with a deep, primal desire imbedded in them. They want to protect you from harm, even at the cost of their own lives. But it's important to remember that Gardevoir are not human and it's possible to find both Kirlia and Gardevoir living out in the wild, presumably never having seen humans. T
hat fact of the matter is that there's no guarantee that the way that your Gardevoir seeks to protect you will align with human morals or values. Gardes might all feel urged to safeguard their trainers in differing and unique ways depending on their upbringing and exposure to humans. Who's to say that yours won't decide that allowing you to have autonomy and make your own potentially risky decisions is far too dangerous? A Garde such as that might decide that you would be better off under its command, your mind invaded and shaped to its every whim.

I've got a question. I'm running a Calm Mind - Psychic - Grass Knot - Shadow Ball Gard (This is Gen IV) and was wondering if Magical Leaf is better. I mean, Grass Knot is spectacular since it basically obliterates anything heavy and/or has a x4 weakness to Grass
But I was thinking if Magical Leaf would be better since it, well, doesn't miss. Also been thinking of replacing Calm Mind with Will-o-Wisp when I trade her to BW

How do Kirlia and Gardes living in the wild differ from ones who have a trainer? Do they long for someone nice to come along and capture them? According to Kirlia's pokedex entries, one that's exposed to a trainer's positive emotions grows beautiful, so if one that had never met humans before were to evolve would that Garde or Gallade be fundamentally different somehow?
