Alright, so with all the rumors and speculation going around I saw people requesting that I finally let the public know what is true and what is not. Here is what is true.
Pancham is definitely inspired by a koala bear/ panda bear mix. He is fighting type.
Fairy type is NOT real AT ALL! But don't worry, there is still a new type coming out called Magic type, but unfortunately Sylveon is not the new type, it is dragon.
Don't worry though, the new magic type is incredibly useful. It resist attacks from ice and poison types, takes super effective damage from dragon, fighting, and dark types to balance out the ice and poison resistance, and does super effective damage on ghost types. Expect to hear more about this soon!!
Since I discredited so much popular information, I will give you guys some spoilers.
The new mewtwo form is in fact called MewXBlade. It's Psychic type and has a much higher speed and defenses than its other counterpart, while sacrificing its attacking stats and HP.
No pokemon from gen1 - 5 will get an evolution or pre evolution aside from eeevee.
And finally, one big spoiler to make you all even more excited for Pokemon X and Y- there will be 3 new entry hazard types, all as equally potent as stealth rocks, we figured since the move is so popular in current play today, we'd make more types of it to encourage more varied game play. To promote the new magic type we made one type of stealth rocks called "Card Flip", which does magic based damage depending on which pokemon is sent in on the opposing team. The other two types I will leave a mystery, but feel free to try and guess!
