Kevin's there, he talks to me, someone with Gary's sprite comes out of a house, Kevin leaves, to my north and south are trainers with my rival's and Steven's sprites respectively who "..." at me, and eventually (these routes are fucking huge) I get to Oceanshine City -- "Where the ocean's breeze is refreshing."
There seems to be a contest involving Surf to the end of the city, the Felinar guy is standing at the Pokémon Center being a dick, and it's a dead end with a Gym(?) that I'm not allowed to go to yet. So far I have not fought a single trainer battle since Kevin despite these routes being gigantic. Looks like I have to consult the Jagold Stone.
