Except this is really fucking bad. This is the game they should have wanted the least amount possible to buy and see. This is the game where the most people have seen how poor quality and outdated many of the systems in the game are. This is the first generation where the main gimmick was banned in competitive play. People are gonna say "this is what all the fuss is about? Well this ain't all that hot." They won't buy the next game. Or the game after.
Pokemon has peaked. Screenshot this post. Even if the quality of all games going forward shoots through the roof. Even in the next games are the best games in the series. Even if they're the best games of the decade, they won't sell. We're cresting the hill. It's all downhill for the franchise from here.
