These shows might be interrupted when a group of well-dressed but intimidating men clear out the room so that the older gentleman in the corner can have his "karaoke night." The hotel might offer a salon, complete with professional masseuses (and they do NOT accept credit cards). The hotel employees are sworn to secrecy, and those who break the rite of hotel/guest confidentiality will suddenly find a new job in a new city in a distant region and stop updating their social media pages. The man who runs the bar is a very affable older gentleman with a strong selection of liquors and a sympathetic ear, but for some odd reason, no one has ever seen him blink.
