There's nothing "wrong" with their evolutions, it's just that there's seemingly 0 reason for them to drop the best characteristics of the previous stage. That's just the way I feel, I guess.
The exception is Ralts. I am ok with Kirlia and Gardevoir, but fuck Gallade
Also, I really REALLY hope that we don't get these kinds of things in gen 8. It's so strange that this trend has been around since gen 1...
