Luxray almost immediately overwrote any favouritism on electric types I had prior. I say almost because Electivire was pretty damn awesome as well, but I didn't particularly care much for Elekid or Electabuzz, while I can still appreciate the cute/fierce looks of Shinx and Luxio.
Whether it's supposed to be a Lynx or a Lion or whatever, I think it looks awesome, and probably the most appropriately intimidating mon to use Thunder Fang. Everyone had one in Gen 4, I consciously made the effort to bring it forward in the other games all the time.
I eagerly away when they can be mounts.
And I bought a plush of it because fuck it, I had money.
