Alola is easily the worst region for me. I had hoped USM would have fixed that, but it only reinforced that opinion. The second island is still by far the worst segment of any pokemon game out there. At least with the first island, you end up thinking "it's just the beginning, it'll let up once i leave" but once you get to the second island, literally nothing changes. You get roadblocked by dogs everywhere, you have many areas either not in the game at all or pretty much pointless areas like Pikachu Valley.
You get forced into a Battle Royal the instant you ENTER the building possibly forcing you to lose due to leveling a new catch, the volcano's still a teleporter, almost every trial is the same, and mallow's trial despite being changed somehow manages to be worse this time. Around this point i just stopped caring and turned on exp share so i could get to the actual CHANGES faster. Where the fuck did the year of work go, Photo Club?
I knew this would happen when i was playing. Even if someone likes SM, they're NOT going to want to sit through 272 (yes i counted) cutscenes, 200 of which are the exact same shit from SM. Every single roadblock feels like a slap in the face as well.
