I lost Ian in my fight with Cynthia. Never would I have thought I'd lose him and Nikola in the end. I once thought of Ian as a liability to my team. I mean, a Heatproof Jolly Bronzor could never be considered a good thing. But Ian was. Ian saved my team dozens of times. He was our guardian. Enough critical Aura Spheres got the best of him in the end, but he remained steadfast; never once broke until he knew we had it in the bag. He didn't leave us until he knew the time had come. To the greatest treasure in Mt. Coronet, I thank you, my friend. Rest easy with Lexi and Ian. You guys have earned it.
Becoming champion doesn't feel the same without them. It feels as if I've lost, even after being declared the victory. I thought I would be thrilled to have passed the final hurdle, put it all behind me, but I can't seem to do that yet. My first successful Nuzlocke journey would not have been if it were not for my friends. I owe all the credit to them.
To Ivan, Melody, Mandy, Nikola, Ian, Lexi, and Priscilla: thank you. You all are the Sinnoh League champions.
