Standing in a bipedal pose. It has open crack horizontal stripes down it's back with soot surrounding the openings.
Maybe a little soot around the eyes or somewhere else too. It should also have a small tongue sticking out signifying a hot mouth. Hot Mouth - Maybe a new ability?
The base colour should probably be a palish yellow, something that contrasts with the black.
I whipped up a quick example of how the back cracks should look and something that could resemble the sooty eyes look. The cracks shouldn't be all way up the back, just to the midpoint.
If you can, keep it simple. This is the only design features needed imo.
