Archer/Ariana in Cerulean Cave is insane, it is a back-to-back fight against two varied teams of 4 each with a mega with no healing.
Archer was the harder of the two. Mamoswine, Mimikyu, Durant, Mega Houndoom. I lead Gallade and Mega Evolve, burning his Mamoswine. Then, I set up a few Bulk Ups in its face, and sweep his team, Mega Houndoom thankfully comes out late I think because of a quirk in trainer AI. I didn't like dodging crits and gambling the run on a 85% chance of WoW hitting, but whatever.
After all that RNG, Ariana was actually pretty simple. Hatterene, Honchkrow, Rhyperior, Mega Mawile. Electrum is out front and VSwitches to Amethyst as Hat sets Trick Room. I then spam Roost in its face as it hits me with weak Mystical Fires to raise my SpA to +4 thanks to Competitive, set up Sub on the turn she resets Trick Room, then carefully abuse Trick Room to sweep the rest of her team.
The Giovanni tag battle unfortunately went very poorly. Too many moving parts to describe, but basically - I tried a similar strat to the first tag battle as his lead Scrafty has Intimidate so I wanted to get Amethyst's Competitive boost off that and run through his team with Lance's Screens support, but his Scrafty Roared me out turn 1. So basically, I had to just spam stall and hope to god Lance wasn't retarded, all while Giovanni was actually bloodthirsty for my side of the field. Long story short, I ended up losing Amethyst and Electrum, two absolutely gigantic losses for how useful they've been this run. So long, friends.
>>48323688Nice job anon
>>48321918I also know later segments of Intense have stuff like ridiculous tag battles, multiple mega evolutions per team, incredibly illegal EV spreads like 252 in every stat, extremely smart AI, and so on.
Well, maybe I'll get around to it. can't imagine doing it without items though
