>>35792068> It's pace breakingThat's your opinion and while you might not like them, others apparently do. But even accepting for the sake of argument it does, what pace is it breaking exactly? These are RPGs, the pace is set by the difficulty curve because the objective is literally 'walk, fight monsters, fight gyms, fight Elite 4, win the game.'
Removing wild battles means that you've lost a part of the experience which changes things. It creates an experience mono-source, alters the game flow, artificially limits the total quantity of experience and level available to players. This by necessity requires the game to manage the distribution of experience throughout the game and ensure the player is never deficit.
At that stage, you aren't even playing anymore, the game is playing for you. It's one thing in Go where the experience is by prescription lacking many of the features LGPE will have simply by virtue of being a more traditional game. But it's the fact that it's a real game that changes how the dynamic works.
> LGPE is better than having gen 8 get bogged down by casualised featuresBut then, that's purely assumptive. Game Freak has been doing this since Gen 4, whether or not it continues remains to be seen.
