if you're really looking to get into the physiology of a pokemon just to prove to me that they aren't animals, i'd suggest you'd stop. hate to have to go here, but it really is just a bunch of monsters in a kid's game. they're not explained in-depth like this because they don't need to be. my interpretation of their classification is just as valid as anyone else's, as is yours (whatever it is, exactly). because none of these questions will ever be officially touched upon and never will be, all we really have left are assumptions.
