nastasia and kreiss were very young kids and are adults in current day despite this very chapter right now saying 7 years ago was 'just after the calamity'
at the same time nobody ostensibly seems to remember or know about a mass migration of people from one region to another a few decades ago even though there are demonstrably several people old enough that should be able to remember it (and it's not like storm-9 messed with people's memories, we see people like hazuki or thomas blakeory still cognizant of what happened before and after)
